Hello lovely people,
I'm new to this app and new to eating healthy.

I'm hoping someone could help me get started and point me in the right direction.

Looking forward to starting my journey and hoping for support from others to help along the way.

    • Set yourself at the correct activity level in MFP
    • Choose a sustainable weight loss rate
    • Log your food accurately - with a scale is best
    • Be wary of calorie burns from MFP/Fitness Trackers/Gym equipment - they can be overestimated.
    • Eat back some of the calories burned from exercise if you're working out (50% is a good starting point)
    • Be prepared for it to take a while to see results.

    ^^This plus
    • Don't exclude the foods you love - learn to work them into your daily or weekly calories
    • Don't exclude whole groups of foods - carbs, fat whatever - strive for balance instead
    • There are no shortcuts - Apple Cider Vinegar, Raspberry ketones, body wraps all have minimal to zero effect - Calories is what matter for weight loss.
