Logging exercise

I've been doing hiit workouts and also walking 30 to 40 minutes a night, upping it daily. I don't do the hiit workouts and walk, I do one or the other. Anyways my question is how do I know it's accurate when I log my walking in. Just curious. Thanks in advance.

You can't know it's accurate until you get a chance to compare it to your real-world results. If you're talking about the MFP exercise database, some of the entries seem to be really accurate for some people. Others aren't so accurate.

So what many people do is just eat back a portion of their exercise calories until they have a chance to see how it impacts their results.

It's always tricky logging w/ mfp - my fit watch & mfp are not even close in estimates. For example I logged 25 mins of kickboxing mfp said 345 cal burned while my watch said 180. I changed the mfp cals to the 180 b/c i don't want to overestimate calories burned.
