Getting Gastric Bypass

Im set to get the surgery at the end of June/beginning of July. Looking for friends who are on the same path as me, or have already gotten the surgery.

    Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why you are choosing surgery?


    And will you be getting the full bypass or just a sleeve or a lap bad procedure?


    I am not judging you or your choice; I'm just genuinely interested because 227 doesn't seem to me like it would be so heavy as to require surgical intervention and I always wonder about that, like at what point do people decide that surgery is a necessary measure for weight loss.

    It's because I'm only 5'0, 31, and already have diabetes and high blood pressure. Also, I've always been obese as an adult, and have never been under 180 lbs. That's why I'm choosing it, I can't speak to other people's reasons.
