Music for running ??

I am searching for a music selection that will put me at a pace for beginning to run 3 miles within 30 minute in intervals (walk jog) with 5 minute warm up/ cool down. I have no idea on how to find such a thing. Any suggestions?

Look up Jeff Galloway; he has some interval "albums" you can purchase on iTunes, tells you when to run, when to walk. Has a warm up and cool down.

I bought the 5K training 3:1 after I had a knee (over use) injury and had to start my running program back, slowly.

Motion Traxx has a lot of different play lists that you can get.

I LOVE Rockmyrun.com Its not free, but just by signing up I've gotten quite a few songs for free as they try to increase their number of users. You can search by genre, bpm, etc.

I listen to a mix of AWOLNation, Three Days Grace, Rise Against and Dave Matthews Band when running. Two Step and You Might Die Trying are good to keep pace with

You should try to figure out how many beats per minute you need. You should be about 140-160 tops. Then use this site to finds stuff you like.

    Lazerhawk - Redline (album)\ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PKV79lug54

Anything by Mitch Murder (sounds sad, but it's great electronic music with an 80's flair) (I'm 43, so we're about the same age...hence the propesity towards things from the 80's) http://www.amazon.com/Burning-Chrome/dp/B004EOCTSY/?tag=toofyoga-20

    The Polish Ambassador - I found him...(album) http://thepolishambassador.com/free-music/the-phantasmal-farm/

I've had these on heavy rotation for bikerides and treadmill runs for the last month...really good for cardio of any kind

Girl Talk is a staple for all running playlists for me.

I have Kavinsky, Crystal Castles, Peaches, Tron soundtrack... Love what DaftPunk did there. David Guetta.

Mostly stuff like that. It all has a solid beat and it is fun. I also throw in a bunch top 40 pop songs I hate, but are upbeat and someone how fun to run to.

Here's a website that specializes in workout music

    http://www.workoutmusic.com/

If you want something pre-made .... chances are they have it. There are audio clips and BPMs are listed too. Maybe you can use one of these as a guide and include your own music instead..

    Ready made for intervals .....http://www.workoutmusic.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=interval
