Not sure how. I thought it was piriformis but PT doctor said no. So I'm doing the rowing machine gonna try not to walk a lot of miles.
Anyone else have this problem? It throbs and wakes me up at night! Not sure how it happened.

Ice it. Probably should lay low and allow it to heal a bit before continuing exercise1

I agree... Lots of ice, and rest.1

You mean abductor, right? What activities were you doing?0
-
I get spasms at night sometimes in various hip-related muscles. It's really annoying. Heat usually helps me.0
-
It was just gradual onset, no activity that caused it to hurt. Walking uphill hurts now. PT dr said where adductor? Abductor meets the hip by groin.0
-
It's in the groin area. .0

Are they sure it's not a pelvic stress fracture or osteitis pubis? Both are in that area. Did you see an orthopedist?0
-
No, only went to the primary care and physical therapist.0
-
Supplement with magnesium twice a day for spasms.1

what else did the pt doctor say? a diagnosis without any kind of action plan seems sort of unhelpful to me.

Adductor is the groin. Abductor is on the outside portion. Of the hip1

She is doing ultrasound therapy and said to ice it.0

It's not the pubis, researched that. It's the groin/hiney area0
-
The adductors attach to the pubis. Seems like your PT is using the correct modalities1

Piriformis is deep In the glutes. Rest, take ibropen. Stretching might help.1
