Hold on...you ate 1,000 calories over your goal, or your goal IS 1,000 calories?2
-
Why do you have a 1000 cal/day limit? Are you exceptionally short? The lowest calories/day MFP allows for women is 1200.
I'm guessing you're not using a food scale to weigh all of your food and that your daily intake is higher than 1000.0 -

What is your weekly weight loss goal? If it is 2 pounds a week/1Kg per week, your deficit per day is 1000 calories, that means going over by 1000 means you have not even gone above your maintenance calories to stay at the same weight. The reason you put on 1Kg was because of water retention. Just get back to your deficit and it will come off fairly quickly. Just so you know, to go up 1 Kg of fat would mean you have to go 7700 calories over your maintenance calories. So, no, you did not put on a kilo of fat.2

I would agree with @CafeRacer808
I'm 5' (honestly, I'm 4' 11" but I give myself the extra inch here on MFP for additional calories, LOL sh don't judge me) and my goal is 1,450-1650. I work out, but I only burn maybe 100 calories in a 60-minute lift session and I can still lose fat and build muscle very easily. As soon as I do a little cardio or stick strictly to 1,450 I drop weight.
I used to be just like you and think that 1,000 calories was the only way to lose weight (plus tons of cardio and stupid machine leg work outs) and then when I miserably got to 95 lbs. and was still flabby and still didn't have abs, I realized that something needed to change. So a very hungry me decided to up the calories and find a different method of working out and BAM, here I am. Healthier, happier and with a much speedier metabolism.
Don't kill yourself eating 1,000 calories. Even if you drop the weight and can actually stick to that minimal of a calorie intake daily, you are going to be constantly miserable, hungry and your body will suffer. Plus, it's not maintainable.7 -

Exactly what I asked for clarification on, too! Kinda confusing wording by the OP1 -

Yeah, I just saw your comment above mine and I'm now unclear about what the OP actually means.1 -
I don't know that I understand what you did or what your calorie goal is, but I can make the general statement that if you are trying to eat at a deficit and you fail one day that you don't need to do anything different. Just forget about it and continue eating at a deficit. You will reach your goal more slowly than you would have if you hadn't given in to temptation, but you will still reach your goal. Once you get into maintenance, you might want to consider cutting back a few days to make up for days you overeat, but in maintenance you have more available calories to cut from.2

OP seems to overexercise and under eat based on previous posts.
Seriously...eat more to fuel your exercise or exercise less. Don't freak out over fluctuations and if this is an issue, seek help.5 -

Thanks. He's actually not that happy right now. He's got three bulging discs in his back and he's too old for surgery.0 -
Now I am confused as well. Perhaps English is a second language for the original poster. So either their goal is 1000, which is under eating which will lead to binges; or they ate 1000 over their calorie goal which is unstated. I assumed the second, but now I am wondering if it is the first especially since they say they are going hard at exercise and diet.2

I read it as the first interpretation.
@emyjuita6 can you please clarify? Are you trying to hit 1000 cal/day as your regular goal, and you ate more than that? Or is your target higher and you ate 1000 calories over your target?0 -

I read the later as my response above makes clear.0 -
oh sorry for the confusion, my calorie limit is 1200cals per day. Last 2 weeks i set my calorie limit to 1100cals per day to speed my body to loose weight. After limited myself to 1100cals per day , I found myself binging on food and overeat for 1000cals for few days. Is it normal ?
Also, I want to know if anyone here use iPhone Steps app ? Does it sync precisely with your fitnessPal , thank you ❤0 -

First of all weight FLUCTUATES. This could be water weight from higher sodium, sore muscles, time of month....it could be from your waste cycle too. You did not gain fat because you were over 1000 or 1200 calories.
To gain 1/2 kg you would have needed an extra 3,500 calories over your maintenance.....which is way above 1,200.
Fast weight loss doesn't support existing lean muscle mass as well as moderate paced weight loss does. So there will be a price.
Stop the very low calorie / binge cycle by eating enough calories to remain consistent.4 -

Is it normal to binge when you are trying to eat too little? Yes, pretty much. It is possible to avoid doing so, but your natural tendency is to try to store food when you get very hungry.4 -
I recommend you go back to your original 1200 calories - by dropping your calories to a level that is not recommended by MFP, you set yourself up for binging, and now you know why anything less than 1200 calories is not recommended! If the calories are too low, you will keep lapsing and then it wont speed up your weight loss at all - slow and steady wins the race.
Dont worry, the damage is not irreversable, so gt back to what you were doing right.1 -

Yes, it's normal for undereating to lead to overeating. Better to just eat more regularly and be patient with your weight loss.
How tall are you and how much weight do you want to lose total?
Even short women can lose weight while eating more than 1200 calories if they are active.0 -

This is not at all uncommon. For me, even 1200 was too low and I would end up overeating a lot for a couple days. I finally realized that if I stayed at a fairly consistent 1600 calories, I could still lose and wouldn't have those overeating days.
Rapid loss isn't necessarily desirable (other than the fact that we, people in general, like to see the scales drop quickly). Overeating, is just one of the concerns. Consider setting a more reasonable target for yourself which still allows you to overeat.0
