Then what is the point? One large meal but still hitting your target for the day is kind of the idea here. this is why we do daily diaries, not meal plans.

Just to clarify, did eating that meal (sounds delicious, by the way!) make you feel physically or emotionally terrible?

648 calories sounds like an appropriate amount of calories for dinner. You shouldn't feel bad or guilty about eating enough or eating in a way that is satisfying. The point isn't to suffer for weight loss, it's to eat as much as you can get away with while still losing weight.

I'm confused-why is this a bad thing? I had a 900 calorie lunch and was pretty happy with it. If you're hitting your calorie target for the day then I'm not seeing the problem?

So you exercised... meaning your body was demanding some fuel... so as a result you ate a reasonably-sized dinner and are still under your daily calories... And that's bad?

That's not too overly high in calories so no need to feel terrible about that. If it was the meal itself, maybe something wasn't cooked all the way? My daughter gets nauseous eating eggs, maybe something like that?

So tell us what the point is so we can offer some advice because what you've said so far isn't adding up to a big disaster... We can give much better help if we clearly understand the problem rather than just making up the rest of the story in our minds. I love scrambled eggs for dinner by the way... Quick, easy, and I like to throw in as many veggies as I can fit in the pan.

OP is unhappy because she didn't get to the 1500 Cal she wanted to get to?

OP is unhappy because the meal didn't taste good or was not filling?

OPs family believes eggs should only be eaten in the morning and a taboo was breached?

    I need more info!!!!!!

Perhaps she has yet to learn that eating under our calories is never an occasion for guilt. Neither is eating over them actually, but under is even less so.

I didn't see what the OP was but from the sound of it she's concerned about a 600 calorie meal?

Man my salad can be 600-700 calories and I only have 1200 to begin with.

OP, you have nothing to worry about (from what I gathered in the comments). You shouldn't have deleted your post, as this is a public forum with lurkers and those who aren't shy to ask the same questions.

Regarding your calories. You are supposed to eat all or close to all of them as well as a portion of your exercise calories. It's how mfp works. Drop the guilt of not eating the lowest calories possible; that mindset will indeed tirture you. Instead, eat the foods you like within your calorie goal (include your treats, too, as calories are king for weight loss) and relax.

Read the stickies threads in this forum. @burnss2016 and relax. Freaking out over "bad foods" and eating more than minimal calories is a sure road to disorderville- a very unpleasant place to be.

That's one epic salad, my friend!
