Drinking water helps flush the water you may be retaining. Seems counter intuitive but I believe this is how it works. You won't retain it - you pee it out again. You'll know you're drinking enough when your urine is a very light yellow or clear. I drink upwards of 80-96oz a day for years and once you get used to it the running to the bathroom does lessen.

You need to water to support all the functions of life. You will not put on more weight by drinking more water. It will flush your system and support in the weight loss.
    Hope this helps

Yep, I agree with the other posters!!

Drinking water gets rid of water, just as eating fat burns fat............

yes, as previously mentioned, sounds very counter-intuitive - but really works!!!

I drink between 1 and 2 gallons of water per day. I feel dehydrated if I drink less.............

the way i see it is this:
your body has to use energy to process the water, so in a sense, the more water you drink the more weight you will lose in the long run.

I've noticed that if I cut back on my water I tend to get bloated..The previous posters are right. More water makes your body flush the excess out.

I have read that drinking really cold water helps in weight loss because you have to bring it up to body tempature.

I am not a believer in drinking as much water as humanly possible. I drink when I am thirsty and with meals. Your body knows what it wants. Drink reasonable amounts.
