Hi, was just wondering although I know slimming world is meant not to be about counting calories,do you still stick within the calories set by fitness pal.i only joined slimming world on the 21st of Feb,and have been logging my foods on here, but am trying to stay within my fitness pal recommendations,is that wise or not?

Yes. The years I've spent eating as much as I can as a kid and teen have really left my hunger signals out of whack.

Counting helps me out with that.

No I stopped after I started competitive training.
I do however track my cheat days so that I won't be eating 10 k calories in one day.
But counting calories got me to where I am. It's very effective.

I don't obsess over it usually maybe that's why I find it hard to maintain. I have the opposite problem of most on here as I struggle to keep weight on

Some would say your lucky, but I do realise that keeping weight off and weight on are both real problems..but I do think I need to try to relax and not get obsessive,or I will be setting myself up for disappointment.

Absolutely I do.. It's just a routine for me now.. It helps me stay on track with what I eat and how much I exercise..

Nope. I used to. Stopped all the madness for my sanity. I don't have any food addiction or binging problems.

I've been counting calories for over 2 years. It is useful for managing my weight. I will continue for life probably.

I calorie count even yet despite being 4 years at maintenance. Granted I no longer log my meals but I always keep a track mentally - I really believe its the main reason I lost weight and kept it off

No, I do not count calories. I eat intuitively.

    Do you still calorie count

Only up to when I go over my deficit every day. Then I stop.
