Not losing weight?

Hi all,
I have just gotten back into my weight loss journey about 6 days ago. I have been measuring my weight but it has not dropped a pound. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have been burning calories in exercise so sometimes I do eat more than my calculated calories. When did you all start to see a change? Not sure why I am not losing weight :(
Also I have hurt my knee pushing myself too hard so that is discouraging as well.

6 days is too soon to judge. Are you weighing your food and logging everything correctly (no generic or homemade entries)? Also if you are exercising use a HRM with a chest strap for more accurate calorie estimates. Machines typically overestimate. Eat back 1/2 or less of your exercise calories. Be patient.

Log as accurately as possible, don't over do it, don't restrict to the point of being miserable and GIVE IT TIME. 6 days is nothing. Keep doing it right and see where you are in two weeks.

I am not weighing my food. I do put in the homemade entries. Not sure how else I put in the things I make at home? Is HRM a heart rate monitor?

Buy a digital food scale and weigh everything that is solid. Use measuring cups and spoons for everything liquid. My guess is you will be amazed, I was. Some people do this forever, I don't anymore because after three years I have a pretty good eyeball, I do still weigh some things though and probably will forever.

But scales, make your own recipes with the recipe builder.

    Be more patient.

MFP has a Recipe Builder under the Meals, Recipes, and Foods tab. I use it all the time when I make things at home. You just plug in the ingredients you used, and it calculates the calorie and macro info for your specific recipe. Since the MFP foods database is user maintained, it's way too easy to be off with the generic entries in the database.
And yes, HRM does stand for heart rate monitor. :)
