We are all creatures of habit. Eating healthy, working out and living a healthy lifestyle is no more than developing that habit. We eat bad because we are used to eating bad. Our bodies crave sugar and bread mostly because we have been eating so much of it for so long. Habits don't develop overnight just like they aren't broken that way either. Having a bad day eating isn't the end of the world. Mentally it may feel like it but it's not. Once committed stick to the course it really is consistency. Losing weight is not as complex as we try to make it to be. Calories in vs calories used is what it boils down to. I'm not an expert by any means but I will help in anyway that I can. My point is only don't overthink it. We have bad days and we have good days, and as long as the good out do the bad we will be heading in the right direction

    I mostly agree with you.

Suppose we just eat bread and sugary food because we enjoy it, and don't subscribe to food having any type of morality? No good/bad or clean/dirty.

. Would I feel like *kitten* and eventually get sick sure but if my maintenance was 2000 cal and I ate 1200 worth of white bread a day I'd lose weight

I just see a lot of people start, go gang busters eat "clean" try to hit macros perfectly from day 1, most become overwhelmed and quit

I completely agree. That's why I don't tell clients to cut out foods. I simply have them add in whole foods and over time they naturally settle into an 80-90% whole lifestyle.
