I work at home but occasionally there are appointments to go to or errands to run and I get hungry while out. What are your favorite items to grab on the go or keep in the car for when hunger strikes?

    Fruit - apples, bananas
    Fibre one bars
    Almonds

I have kids, so I pretty much have a granola bar and a fruit-to-go in my pocket at all times. I try not to eat them, but they're not *the worst* if I'm starving.

I pretty much just have a relatively stable and established eating schedule so I don't normally have to have something for on the go. Once in awhile I'll have a Cliff Bar or something for breakfast if I'm a little off my normal routine.

I need to make sure that what I take has some protein, so it's usually not fruit. I keep peanut butter crackers, Larabars, protein bars, or almonds on me for when I need them out and about.

I personally like Cliff bars (I keep a box in my car). I snatch them up when they're on sale at Wal-Mart.

Nuts - I portion them into snack bags and keep them in my bag or car (depending on the weather).

I eat my breakfast in the car every day. Flat out flax roll ups with a bit of hummus and turkey, or a Schmear of almond butter and a protein shake.

I keep a protein bar in my purse (power bar, Gatorade fuel bar, cliff, etc). It's rare I need it because I can usually wait until I get back home. Although, when I'm trying to drop some weight I'll have a protein bar as a meal replacement.

I too keep a protein bar in my purse. Pure protein ones. I also keep a bag of beef jerky. Actually, I'll portion a serving or two out and keep in zip lock. As well as nuts. I prefer almonds, so I'll portion a serving out and put in ziplock bag too.
