New to food logging

Hello,
For the first time in my life have I ever really put much though or effort into what I eat. Self denial was bliss. At no point past my teen years would I be considered skinny, but I didn't feel that I was very overweight either, so I ate whatever I wanted. Well I got a shock when at the doctor's office I weighed in at 223lbs. I'm only 5'7" so that put me in a terrible BMI rating. I do lift weights, but that could no longer explain being this heavy. I started working with a Nutritionist, who got me into logging food and this site as well. I look forward to the journey and losing 10 - 15 lbs.

Welcome! And good luck on your journey! When I started the first round (2011) I had no real idea of how much I weighed, just that someone had taken a picture of me and I didn't recognize myself. Not a good feeling so glad you're getting ahead start.0
