Hi all,
I was on here frequently a few years back but I've been a way a LONG time. Had some exercise related Achilles injuries that just set me way back and that plus other things resulting in me losing my focus for a couple years. Gained back all I had lost :ohwell:
But last summer I was finally able to get back on track and now it's been a year since I've been losing again. Finally back to where I had "left off!" This time though, I can't exercise like I was but I'm still biking and hiking. Losing at a slower weight and doing it mainly through portion control this time with exercise a few times a week. But have losing steady and keeping it off for a year so that's the best I've ever done with this getting healthy thing. All my numbers are finally starting to look great again too.
For those that don't know me: I'm diabetic, Type 2, now on Victoza. HBP as well on meds for that. But doc said if I can keep this up for another year, I'll probably be able to get off all of it and that has always been my goal.
I'll also come out and say I"m a Christian and a pastor, so that's not a surprise to anyone
I might pop up no the boards but am glad to see there are now Christian groups on here as well. If any of my 'old' friends are still around, say hi! Thanks to the ones that had already noticed I was checking in and had sent messages!! :flowerforyou:

Welcome back! I too took a break for a while and just got back at it. I'm always looking for new friends for accountability and encouragement...especially glad to have fellow christian friends on MFP. I'll send a friend request...hope to see you on the wall.
Blessings, Jack0
