not lost weight

I've been going to the gym five times a week for the past month and have not lost any weight. I have been counting my calories but I just guess at amounts. I've also had a few sweets this month too. I thought the increased exercises would take care of that. I feel very discouraged. Any tips for my next weight in? I want to eat well but I be able to still have a treat once in a while. How can I do that?

Quit guessing at amounts and get a food scale.7

^^^This. This. And This. Weigh solid/semi-solid foods and measure liquids in cups/spoons. Dollars to donuts you're eating a lot more than you think.1 -
Agreed, guessing food usually nets in over estimating, especially since you're not seeing any loss it seems the culprit. You can eat whatever you want, you don't have to eat rabbit food, you just have to make sure you're hitting your calorie deficit/goal.
Also remember that machines, MFP and inaccurately set Fitbits can also register high calorie loss that isn't actually true.0 -

Yup this. I ate healthy but until I started weighing and measuring, I didn't realize I was off on my amounts. Food is about 80% of weight loss formula.1 -
As others have said, you should invest in a food scale. It really REALLY helps! Instead of guessing what one serving of something is, you can weigh it. It's really easy and is a whole lot better than trying to estimate what a cup of ice cream is or what 3oz of chicken looks like.
I spent twenty dollars on this scale and it has worked great for me for over 5 years~

Once you get into the habit of accurately weighing your food, just staying at or under your calorie limit should give you results! You can eat treats, too. I have treats every day. (I can't NOT have a treat..) As long as it fits within your calorie limit, it shouldn't be a problem.1 -

You can not guess good weights and liquid measurements it's impossible
You'll be shocked at how little you can have for the calories0
