Anyone else ever strap their fitbit to their ankle when spinning? What sort of results are you seeing? I wish I could add spinning as an activity on it, but from everything I've read, it's not possible. But wearing it on my wrist gives me very low calorie and step counts. Just trying to find some accuracy in all of this...

It's programmed for walking, so if you wear it on your ankle while you ride a bike, it's going to think you walked really far and fast. The calories for walking a marathon are pretty different from riding a stationary bike. So, not a great idea. Probably better to use something made for cycling.

You will get a totally inflated calorie burn. I put my One on my shoe once while on a stationary bike; my TDEE was through the roof, but sadly, was inaccurate.

Also, I wore it on my shoe once for a walk; the next day I wore it in its normal spot on my bra for the same walk. There was about a 600 calorie difference. Long story short: it wouldn't be wise to do this.

Ok, you are very wise my friends...I found it a bit odd when someone suggested to me that i do this. You have confirmed my suspicions...Thanks!!

The charge 2 has a bike setting. It might be worth trying out? Even if you only try it once.
    Just a thought.

Some shops will rent you a power meter for a week. Judging by your avatar, that might be of interest to you. There's no better (practical) way to measure your energy use on a bike. I have no idea where you live but it's pretty cheap here.

@NorthCascades Thanks for the tip! I live in Canada in a really small town, but it's something I'm definitely interested in checking out! I will look into it!
