My Fitbit banks activity calories throughout the day this is just general walking around. Can you eat these back just doesn't seem logical if your losing weight. On some days I do have some.

I try to eat back half, Mainly because i walk ALOT. Some days i dont, Some i do. If your hungry do it, And dont let the number you earn but dont eat get to high, May feel like your helping yourself but in the long run your really not. Some days ill earn upwards of 1500 off steps alone, Ill eat 500-1000 more just to make sure im fueling my walking.

If i bank to many uneaten calories ill eat or drink them on the weekend, Its quite nice. If your not really walking that much and its small numbers (few hundred maybe) I wouldnt worry about it unless your hungry, Gotta listen to your body. Its perfectly fine to burn say 300, Not eat that extra 300 but find your hungry 2 days later and eat them then.

I eat mine back. Basically, I have myself set to sedentary just in case I have a lazy day. Usually I don't. So I'm not _really_ sedentary. If I set myself to active like I should be, they'd just be there every day, but then it would take them away on lazy days. so I'd rather look at them as "extra" than "losing" calories on some days.

Eating your activity calories fuels your body while you're losing weight. It's extremely logical.

Assuming your original goal puts you at a deficit and you're accurately measuring your calories in/out, you will still lose weight with this method.

Fitbit isn't accurate like most devices eat 1/2 that way you can see how weightloss goes without worrying to much

That is not true. For me and many other people fitbit is amazing acccurate. I am not sure about the people with that fancy HR fitbits but my little fitbit one that clips to my bra works wonderfully.

My dietitian said not to eat them back unless we're talking hundreds of calories

My Charge HR is incredibly accurate. I've been eating back all my adjustments since July 2015 and I lose/maintain exactly as I would expect. I know that isn't the case for everyone, but I know there are also other people who have the same results that I do.

I also often wonder on the people that find they gain weight if they eat their fitbit calories. Is it the fitbit or is it their calorie counting that is off. After all if you unknowingly are eating more than you tell fitbit then yes you will gain eating back your exercise calories.

I don't pay any attention to my FitBit calories. I only track what I EAT.

I usually get between 150-350 calories extra a day just from walking. I don't eat all back everyday. Sometimes I save them for the weekends.

I eat back every single one. But I've been tracking calories a long time and I know from lots of experience that fitbit is reasonably accurate for me. I would say to approach the same as everything else-- try doing it one way for awhile (6 weeks to start) and then adjust if needed based on your results.

I just go by what the amount of calories I've put out. I aim for a 500 calorie deficit. Generally I know I burn on average 2100-2200 calories a day. So therefor I know I can safely eat up to 1600ish a day and be in the zone and be okay. Sometimes I have a larger deficit and that's okay because latley I've been going out to dinner with my husband on the Saturdays and that day always puts me over a bit. But in the whole week total I still have a deficit in calories and I'm only 6 pounds above my goal ( 135 ). Was originally 150. So I don't sorry to much. I focus more on making sure I still am watching what I eat and working out. But why not base your calorie intake off your output with the deficit your looking to have for that day/week.
