How long until I can feel results?

So I have a certain pair of jeans that I want to use to track my progress, but I have a few questions. My first is, how often should I try them on? I can *barely* fit them over my legs, and when they are finally on, I can't move. Should I try to tug them on once a week? Also, assuming I am losing 1 pound a week, how long until they fit relatively comfortably? How long until I will notice a change in the ease of putting it on?

I would try them once a month but it's really up to personal preference.
There's no way for us to predict when they will fit you.0 -
Try them every 2 weeks that way if you do lose 1/week (and remember loss isn't lateral), you've given it a shot at 2lbs.
No one can tell you when they'll fit. You tell us.0 -
Darn. I really wish weight loss wasn't such an individual thing. I wish once one person lost weight, it was globally uniform. Oh well. I shall try them again in about 2 weeks. If I get impatient, I'll try them in a week.0

I wish. I've lost 2pds one day, next day I was up, three days later I was down half a pound... not linear. Never seen a person that said they never saw a fluctuation while weighing routinely.0

Took about a month for me after I started at the beginning of the year before I noticed my pants not being so snug. And now two months later they are noticeably bigger. But as the others have said, it'll be a personal journey. Depends on your plan and how diligent you are to sticking to it. Wish you all the best!0

I hung a favourite dress in the bedroom as inspiration and tried it on every month or so.
Actually, I didn't even bother trying it on for the first 3 month as I knew that it would still be way too tight.
It took 30 lbs loss for me to get to the weight I had been when I last wore it, and guess what- it fitted looser than it had!
The power of doing some resistance/strength training when losing. it really does help reshape ones body, as well as being good for muscles and bones.
Try them every month or 5 lbs lost.

Resistance and strength training? Do you think track workouts (I'm on a track & field team, hoping to be a high jumper and sprinter) would suffice?
And that seems like a good rule of thumb -- the trying them on after every 5 pounds loss ... a sort of reward, I suppose.0
