Hey guys. Having a hard time. I'm 25 with a lifetime of chronic that make losing weight extremely difficult. Trying not to be like the rest of my family and have a medical history a mile long and have terrible eating habits. Would love encouragement from anyone and everyone who has had success losing weight and keeping it off with PCOS

    Welcome,

I am sorry you have so much to overcome. You are making a good choice by trying to fix as much now as you can instead of waiting. Unfortunately, I don't have experience or much knowledge about PCOS, but I did want to tell you there are several groups on here with members who share your condition. If you are on the computer, under community tab, the dark blue bar has a "groups" button, you can search for PCOS. If you join one of those that may be an easier, faster way to connect with others who can be a better help to you.

    ~best wishes on your journey

I have PCOS and a underactive thyroid and abnormal parathyroid so can certainly relate. Perhaps if I would have dealt with my health issues earlier on my problems would not be so serious. I have found that consistency, healthy eating, exercise and working with the doctor are all required. I have been up and down on the scale but did have the most success working with a dietician. I think anyone who keeps you accountable. The weight will come off and if not at least you will be healthy. The most important is to feel good in your own skin and not what others deem acceptable.
