I accidentally added WAY too much garlic powder to a pot of chili yesterday and need help fixing it...is there anything I can do to tame the garlic?
Edit:
Besides adding a BUNCH more vegetables (I don't have much more room in the pot)

Could you scoop some of the sauce out and replace with water and tomatoes?0

There is no such thing as too much garlic. I bet it tastes great! :happy:0

I love garlic!...and it's soooooo good for you too!
Not sure how to tame it though, I'm afraid :flowerforyou:0 -
I did that with seasoning salt once, the lid came off an dumped a bunch in. The ONLY way to fix it is to double the batch, double the tomato sauce, etc and hopefully that will distribute it a bit better. You can freeze the excess for a quick meal another day . . .0

Send it here... I'll eat it all... with extra extra garlic
Try cooking it with 1 or 2 whole peeled potatoes until the potato is done, then remove (works with too much salt and also removes scorched flavor if you burn something, not sure about garlic - but could be worth a try??).
Also try adding a little sugar to it.0 -
Never too much garlic? :noway: You guys are too funny!  I like garlic too, but I also want to taste the rest of it!
Seriously though, Thanks for the suggestions, I'm gonna go try fixing it tonight.0 -
More tomato sauce should work. I did this with pepper once when the top came off in the pot.......on a high note, you can keep the vampires at bay.0

Added more canned tomatoes, a bunch of dried onion and more chili powder and it worked well. Yummy chili. :happy:0
