Has anyone done a BADA$$ Dash?

Just wondering if anyone has done this type of race before. If so, how did you train for it? Was it fun? Would you recommend it?

I was asked if I wanted to compete in one and looking at the names of the obstacles they appear a little intimidating. It looks like fun, I'm just not sure if I would be able to complete it successfully.

Thanks for any information you can provide!

I haven't done that one in particular but I have completed about 10 or 11 different obstacle racesincluding two Tought Mudders and I am obsessed!! My biggest suggestions would be to incorporate upper body strength training into your workout routine and make sure that you do some endurance training and running. Take your time ( I always go into it without a time goal) and if there's an obstacle that just freaks you out you can always skip it. The obstacles are created to play on people's fears, heights, electrocution, enclosed spaces, etc. I've run a couple with clients as their first 5k or first mud runs, if you go into it with the mindset of just finishing and do it to the best of your ability you will not be dissappointed! I still to this day am amazed at my own abilities everytime I finish one! It's just so awesome to look back and say I DID that!

Thanks...That's definitely the mindset I would be using going into it...Just have fun and finish, but I don't want to have to skip a bunch of stuff because I can't do it. That's why I wanted to know more about the training aspect of an event like this.

Thanks for the tips!! It definitely helps.
