I had 4 surgeries over the years. Unfortunately, all the incisions were made in the same place. Right above the vagina, under the abs. The area is completely numb. I have done EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING to get my abs flatter. However , my stomach muscles have been cut during surgery and it seems to affect getting flat abs. Please, if anyone has an answer, Please let me know.
Thank you,
Allison

Probably a visit to the doctor to find out if you have any damage to your abs would be a good idea.

If all is ok look for an exercise routine that you enjoy. As I have no knowledge of your fitness level something like yoga, aqua fit, Pilates, belly dancing, or a dumbbell/body weight routine would give you a start.

There is a simple exercise called the stomach vacuum (google for a discription) this is a good thing to do to make you aware of your abs.

If you are an established exerciser (is that a term?) look at a a heavy lifting programme.

    Cheers, h.

Having a flat stomach is due to low body fat and adequate muscle. When you say you have done everything, what does everything consist of? Low body fat? Consistent strength training?
