Eating Out

How do you guys enter food from small, localt owned restaurants? Obviously Boston Pizza or Chilis is no big deal, but Vitos, a restaurant in my town, obviously doesn't have their nutrition anywhere. Do you just find a food that you think is similar to it?

Sometimes if I get a dish I can break down the components to I will log it that way. Others I just pick an entry that I feel is the closest and move on. Have fun

I don't log anything unless the place has the nutritional value listed in their website. I don't estimate calories because I am more interested in the macros and because I don't want to see those "estimated" entries in the food section of Recent or Frequent, especially when they will be there for ever. Estimates are not accurate anyway.

I write in the Comment section of my Food Diary, where I ate and what I had, just as a reference.

I make an effort to guess As I am reasonably confident these days on my eyeballing - then I add 10% of the calories and usually I am quite ok with it then.
I do focus on eating things that I know reasonably well.

If it's a local place then I just use an entry that is closest to it.
