Hello everyone. I am trying to jump start my diet plan because nothing is working. Has anyone heard anything or dealt with bariatric clinics? There is one near me where you go 3 times a week, get a few injections (B12 and other vitamins...) and take some appetite suppressants. Any feedback is welcome ! Thanks in advance...

You don't need a jumpstart, you just need to log everything as accurately as possible

UTMB has a supervised program. I am pretty sure there is medical supervision, dietician and group support.

I live in Canada where we have government subsidized health care. I was admitted in to the bariatric program for three years which included classes, counselling, health monitoring and surgery. I lost over eighty pounds.

The type of program you are talking about was here too as a private weight loss clinic (Dr. Bernstein). It involved a medically supervised VLCD diet and B12 shots. The local clinic is closed down now. One of the participants in my Bariatric class went to a clinic like this. She lost the weight during the program and then put it all back on afterwards. She confessed she felt like a failure all over again.

Such programs in my opinion are unconscionable.
