I have lost 19 pounds! I feel that MFP really helped a lot with this process. I am currently 27 years old, 5'2 in height and 13 stone in weight. I don' really feel a change physically which is sad but I feel super motivated now and really wanted to share this!
I have cut out all drinks except water, going to the gym 3-5 times a week and watching the calorie intake.
I am currently on 1200 calories a day but my trainer advised it should higher. I am not sure what to do about it any ideas.

Congratulations! That is almost 10% of your body weight.
Are you actually eating 1200 calories or are you netting 1200 after exercise?0 -
1200 a day. He want's me up to 18000

Hmm. I went from the 170s to 150s eating around 1800 per day. I am 5'6", which would make my calorie burn higher than yours for your height, but I was also 37 at the time, which would make my calorie burn lower than yours for your age. I would suggest splitting the difference to start. Aim at 1500 calories. Try it for a 4-6 weeks and see how you feel and how you think your exercise progress is going. Then you can adjust from there.0

Great job sticking with it. I think you've earned a few more calories, I agree with jemhh, try 1500 calories for a few weeks. See how it goes then adjust if needed.
