Does ice skating really burn this much?

Just the basic stuff, like I'm kinda unable to believe this, for someone that weighs 113 pounds half an hour burns something around 300 kcal, I go for 5 hours usually and I weigh 113 pounds, I take quick short 2 min breaks in between, does it still burn as much when taking a break or does it HAVE to be continuous? And is it like for the average speed? I'm not sure if you get to just ask on this app but I need to know. (P.S I'd usually be practicing Crossovers or some moves or backwards skating, do those count or do they not burn as much?)

I'm unsure, but with high intensity of skating, I wouldn't be surprised if your not in the ball park.
I would also hazard to say its continuous skating.1 -
I honestly think it's a tad high depending on the intensity. It's not the same, but the formula for calculating estimated total calorie burn for running is "weight x .75 x miles ran." If you run a 10 minute mile, that's 3 miles for 30 minutes. For your weight, that would be about 254 calories burned.
Therefore, I think if you were skating at an intensity equivalent to running, you'd be looking at about 254 calories per half hour. If you're skating hard, doing jumps, spins...maybe. speed skating may be an equivalent since it's steady cardio like running. i think playing hockey would probably be a higher calorie burn. If you're doing figure eights, itll be way less.
When I figure skated, I just didn't feel like it was as intense of a cardio workout as running. It's almost more like an interval workout where you work your way up to a jump or spin, then, there's a rest when you come out of it.
I would rather under estimate my calorie burns, but as long as you don't eat back all of the calories, you should be fine.1 -
I've been skating lately and I use my polar ft4 heart rate monitor. I just hit pause on it if I take a break longer than a minute or two. I burn slightly less than 100 calories per 10 minutes.1

I've tested ice skating while wearing a heart rate monitor. I averaged about 150 calories for an hour of routine ice skating.2

The correct formula for running is...
BW x .63 x distance in miles.
