I'm thinking of doing a couple of weeks of meal replacement using shakes to replace 2/3 meals a day. Do I need to buy specific powders? For example slimfast/ lebrada (or any other recommendations?) alternatively I have a couple of bags of protein powder from pure whey 80 ( see here: http://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk/pure-whey-protein-concentrate-80?prod=B20-IVM-2&gclid=CjwKEAiArvTFBRCLq5-7-MSJ0jMSJABHBvp0Neb3h-PINGx_XtaQgPw9dCWGQ8akzb6o3ZECcLfgzhoCydfw_wcB)

But I didn't think protein shakes had the same nutritional value to replace a compete meal? Any help?

Protein powders are a better START than SlimFast. SlimFast is cheap, lots of sugar, not filling. Google GNC Lean Shake (meal replacement) pretty good reviews.

Protein is step 1 for a meal replacement....it's not the meal. Especially if you are using it for 2 meals. You want to add fiber, some fat, and carbs. Smoothies with veggies & fruit (add protein powder) will give you micronutrients too.
