Hi there I love making this, but it is frustrating the way it sticks to the side of the food processor. Has anyone found a way to overcome this?
Also, I've found adding fresh blueberries at the end after its formed the ice cream texture & blending for a bit longer makes it really fluffy and tasty!

Have you ever had ice cream? If so, how can you call a banana smoothie ice creamTavistockToad wrote: »if you add blueberries isn't that 2 ingredients?!
Jeez, people, the OP is looking for help/advice with the recipe, not with semantics.
OP: I make it in the vitamix and i use a few other fruits, so it's not one ingredient. I also mix in flax seed, and i use my homemade almond milk to loosen it up a bit. Not enough to make it watery, just enough to make it come out easy. If i don't use the almond milk, it's hard to get out. As i make it, it comes out great by simply banging on the blender with an open hand, and holding it upside down over a bowl.

I made it once and my blender blew up just before it was finished  I added peanut butter which made it smoother and non stick.2

I too once blew up my blender with a banana. It also had run and banana liqueur in it though.0 -
This is where a Yonanas machine shines, but you still have to scrape it down. I'd rather clean the Yonanas than my clunky, huge food processor any day. My food processor is too big for a small batch of banana ice cream or frozen strawberry sorbet.3

Leave the frozen bananas out for a few minutes before blending. I have a tiny food processor that works perfectly for one banana.0

One of the banes of my life is that Chunky Monkey is only available as scoops at the Ben and Jerrys shops and not as full tubs in the UK.
Life really is hard these days.0
