Hi everyone
I've been reading up on the Body Reset Diet. Has anyone tried it and if so, how did you get on? Did you lose much weight? Did you find you were hungry a lot? What about exercise?
I've input one or two of his recipes into the MFP app but I can't get the calorie count down to anywhere near the figures in the book.... anyone else found this?
I'm also thinking perhaps I can even make my own ones by adjusting his recipes (to get the lower calorie count), or just use his plan (5 days with 3 smoothies & 2 snacks, 5 days with 2 smoothies, 2 snacks & a meal & 5 days with 1 smoothie, 2 meals & 2 snacks) whilst using my own recipes,

I have never tried this diet. If it is something you want to pursue then by all means do so. What concerns me is it sounds like a fad diet. These are the types of diets that lead to yo-yoing because you never learn to eat in a way that sustains a healthy weight. If you do chose to use this plan, make sure you have a transition into maintenance plan so that you do not find yourself back where you started.
You will find most people on MFP encourage you to eat normal foods and just watch how much you eat. A common motto is "if you don't think you will eat like that forever then why do it?"
I think these two links are extremely helpful and can help you get the most out of MFP without going on a special "diet":

The first covers accurate logging and some of the tools in MFP to help you make things easier. The second discusses caloric needs and setting goals. This one is a little heavier but if you take the time to digest it there is alot of very valuable information there. These two posts completely changed my MFP experience and helped me be much more successful, so I hope they do the same for you.
~Best wishes on your journey
