Nike Running Club 10k training question

Has anyone worked through one of the Nike+ Running Club training plans? I'm starting up 10k training, and I'm not quite clear on the interval work the plan says to do. For the week 1 speed work, it says:

(2x) 200 meters at Mile pace
Split 800 meters:
the first 600 meters at 5k pace
the last 200 meters at mile pace
400 meters at 5k pace
Split 800 meters:
the first 600 meters at 5k pace
the last 200 meters at mile pace
400 meters at 5k pace

My question is, should I be taking any breaks? This seems like a lot of fast running for the 1st week of 10k training if I'm not allowed any breaks. I ended up doing:

200 meters at Mile pace
jog 200ish meters
200 meters at Mile pace
jog 200ish meters
600 meters at 5k pace
200 meters at mile pace
400 meters at 5k pace
jog 400 meters
600 meters at 5k pace
200 meters at mile pace
400 meters at 5k pace

Is this appropriate? Am I slacking? Does Nike intend any rests in there?
