Hi there I just started this diet. I weighed only 145. in Oct but this medication dr had me on made me gain weight. I have gained 50 pounds and now weigh 197. pounds. Now they tell me i got to lose that weight. of course... but my problem is that I cant get much exercise due to the fact that I am disabled and am also going through chemo for lung cancer 2nd time around. So how can I lose weight without excersising

Exercise helps move things along but you don't have to do any to lose weight :)
Just eat at a calorie deficit. I have lost nearly 20 lbs since the start of January with very little exercise. Halfway to my goal of losing 40 lbs.

I would ask your doctor what the best course of action is besides being on a calorie deficit. As you have pre-existing medical conditions, it would be better to discuss this issue with them as they will know you better than we can.
Normally, weight loss is just going through a calorie deficit - eating a little less than what you need to maintain your weight.

In your place, I would talk to a dietician. I don't think anyone here has the expertise to advise you on weight loss when you're going through something like chemo. That by itself puts a tremendous strain on the body, and it's vital that you give it enough nutritional support.

Not sure if you're in the US but I was surprised to find out most nutritionists are covered at 100%. Might be worth checking in to.
