is it ok to switch up the amount of pounds you want to loose per week in your goals occasionally. I've lost 5 of my 20 goal, but this 2 pounds per week, 1,200 calories is a *kitten*. I find myself eating at least 75% of my exercise calories back most days. I can easily stay under 1450 which is a pound a week loss, but I'm STARVING on 1200, so I throw in a workout even on my rest days so I can eat enough to feel not hungry. There's not much wiggle room there either. Going out to eat dinner and actually eating tasty food, even in small portions requires a hell of a work out or skipping lunch. Most "healthy-low calorie" choices at restaurants are at least 500-600 calories. And I'm NOT giving up cheese. I've given up alcohol and chocolate. Cheese is TOO much. I don't eat meat, and I don't like bread of any type. However I love rice, potatoes, and chips and crackers but I have cut way way way back on them.

Setting a goal for 2 pounds per week with only having 20 total to lose is very aggressive and not all that realistic (at least to maintain and not want to eat the entire fridge as your are finding). I would recommend 1/2 a pound or MAYBE 1 pound. I think you'll be happier slowing it down a bit. Remember, we have to find a lifestyle we can be happy with and eventually maintain. Best of luck!
