New but not new - Giving it another shot

Hello, everyone!

I've been a member of Myfitnesspal on a few other occasions. I've even managed to stick to it for almost a year at one point. However, I'm the queen of self sabotage, and as soon as I have a "bad day" I stop tracking; I give up out of shame. But, this time around, I'm determined not to give up!

I don't have much weight to lose - I only want to lose about 15lbs or so, give or take, and am completely okay with a slower loss. I don't want to make it completely about calories either, I want to develop healthy habits and stop becoming so reliant on junk food. I really want to tap into the community aspect of MFP for this reason: stealing all of your healthy and delicious low-calorie recipes.

So yeah, I'm Ginger -- It's good to be back! I'm also looking for friends, so if anyone is up to sending me a request, that would be awesome ♥ Particularly if you have diaries that are open for others to browse through; like I said, I need ideas!

    Hi Ginger,

Welcome back. Feel free to add me. Sounds like we self-sabotage sisters. I've been good at that as well.

I've logged in +100 days. I've lost 22lbs and would like to lose 20 more.

    Good luck!

Name is Bill and I too have been using My Fitness Pal on and off for years, but have trouble sticking to it. Over the last year my blood sugar has increased and my Doctor has added a couple of more medications, which don't seem to be helping.
I desperately need to change my diet... less carbs/sweets and more protein along with staying on track with logging my foods. My goal is to loose the 25 excess pounds I've been carrying around my midsection for way too long. Currently weight 195, 5'7". Goal is 170.
I'm new to this community thing so any hints on how to relay my meal plans and food choice ideas will be greatly appreciated.
