Ok I am grumpy. It always happens in my third week into my weight reduction plan. The first two weeks are like a honeymoon but then bam !!. Has anyone else experienced this? I really need to stay focused. I try really hard but I am SNAPPY!! Last night I got mad playing UNO...Geez...any suggestions?

snack on veggies, you can usually fill up for less calories with them

also, how much do you have to lose and how fast are you trying to lose it. Oftentimes people find themselves overly hungry when they try to lose too fast and cut their calories really low. I know it sounds frustrating to go slower, but if thats what it takes for you to stick with it you will be much better off in the long run. Slow and stead wins the race

Lots of people experience this. It's one of the most common problems. We go all-out fast, and then burn out just as quickly.

So what to do? Set up MFP to lose 1% of your weight per week (pick the closest match in the dropdown menu). MFP then gives you a calorie goal. Use your food diary, weigh and log everything you eat, using correct entries, aim to hit your goal every day (+/-50 calories). Eat whatever you want. You will learn what makes you feel full and satisfied, and where you can cut. Prelogging can make the learning process faster.

Then expect to weigh yourself regularly for a month before you can see a definite trend downwards. But you WILL lose weight if you have a consistent deficit. MFP gives you a calorie goal that's a deficit. You just have to consistently hit it. It's so simple, but it's not always easy.
