1200 calorie diet

So as a follow up from a previous approach, ever since I started counting calories, I just haven't been hungry. It's not like I'm trying to lose weight fast, I just have not been hungry. I'm not sure if it's a mental thing or What, but anyways, what do you think about me (male) eating around 1200 calories a day?

Im in a rush i need to go out but 1500 is the minumum for most males, Ill let someone else explain but dont do it. Theres no need to go that low unless a very small person and even then 1200 is the lowest for a tiny petite woman.0

Too low. You should be hitting 1500 minimum, if not your goal. If you aren't hungry, add some calorie dense foods to your diet.0

More likely to hurt than help. You need to fuel your body and your exercise regimen properly, and to get enough nutrients.1

Anyways fast fat loss is often a trap.
Commit to a small deficit and exercise give yourself time. Change things up when you get stuck.0 -
How long have you been restricting your calories? I find that for the first few weeks or so of drastically reducing my caloric intake, I too have little appetite. BUT (I speak from experience here) your appetite will come back, especially if/when you increase your exercise. Just be prepared for that...you don't want to starve yourself now only to end up gorging later and being miserable...or burning out.
FWIW, I am a very short, sedentary female and 1200 calories is just barely do-able for me to sustain for long term weight loss. (Ask me in a year how well it will have worked out--I'm back for the second time here on MFP, so obviously it wasn't all that sustainable for me the first time round). Nutritionally, I can't imagine that it would be sufficient for a male, at all.1
