I've been struggling with emotional eating for some time now and I'm tired of it. The stresses of work just makes me want to eat, day not going the way I want it makes me want to eat, everything makes me want to eat. So please share some tips on how you overcame this roadblock.

I came to realize what specifically was causing me stress and learned how to either work through it or learned to spend my time doing something else when I'm stressed.
I've come to discover that going to the gym is a great stress reliever for me, and I even work out at home when I get anxious. If I don't have the opportunity to move around, I'll stretch in place or preoccupy myself somehow with computer gaming, reading, anything other than eating.
It'll take time finding what works for you, but don't give up. I've broken through my emotional eating. Making meal plans helps too.1 -
Look in to the book The Beck Diet Solution. It is a book that teaches cognitive behavioral therapy for weight loss. It is excellent to teaching how to overcome emotional eating habits. I highly recommend working through both the book and workbook.1
