I've been doing myfitnesspal for alittle over two week and lost 3 lbs. I set it to 2 lbs a week ..I'll take it

    You'll lose weight based on your calorie deficit and your stored energy reserves. You'll also not be able to see your loss properly until you have a sufficient amount of reliable datapoints (regular weigh-ins).

    You are off to a great start so keep up the good work and stay posative! Keep in mind too, weight loss is not always linear, some weeks you see no change on the scale and then another you may see a big one. Keep track of your trend over time and dont take any one weigh in too hard.

    Nicely done that's awesome! I'm just getting started and have set my weight loss goals to two lbs per week as well. I was wondering if that may be too aggressive but I'm encouraged now after reading your post.

    Congratulations on your great start! BTW, I got a chuckle from your thread title! I think you meant "surely," but let me tell you that for the first few weeks I was losing weight, I could be awfully surly!! :smile:
