Hi,

I started a fitness pal account a few years ago, made some good progress, got busy with life and drifted away. Now, I'm back, trying again. I feel like an addict who has hit rock-bottom. I have no choice but to lose weight now! My slightly younger brother recently passed at the age of 49, of too much weight and alcohol; a sickening shock to me. I need to fix myself quickly. Well, maybe not quickly, but steadily. My husband says I am always in a hurry. I think that is because I am acutely aware of how short life is. If I don't get a grip, though, it's going to be even shorter. As a special education teacher, I enjoy being supportive of others. If you need an encouraging fitness pal, let me know.

Yes you must do this for you but you do need to stick with it, your husband is right you can't rush this, I've been on MFP for over three years and I'm not planing on losing the weight and then going, it's a lifetime eating change to something you can sustain, not lose weight and then go back to old ways. You can do this and I wish you good luck. It's not a race .
