My fitness journey begins today.

It all started on Saturday, I was having a few beers with friends who I haven't seen in a while. They kept making little jokes about my weight since I last saw them. I just brushed it off at the time as friend banter, but then I weighed myself and realised I had put on nearly 3 stone in 9 months and have started to notice a real change in my body. I need to do something about it. I just don't know where to start. I don't want an 8 pack or to win body building competitions just want to be healthy and happy! Any tips for how I can get started?

    I started adding friends on here for support every day when you log on! I was on this 3 years ago and lost 4 stone and was happy and healthy. Over 3 years I've managed to put over 4 stone back on and realised I need to lose weight and keep it off this time! MyFitnessPal helped me so much last time. And just doing like 20-30 minutes of exercise 4 times a week. I didn't even have a gym membership and still managed to lose 4 stone!
