To quote from the article:
"Scientifically, The Case Against Sugar suffers from a condition Steven Pinker has called the “Igon Value Problem”. This term describes the tendency of certain science journalists to arrive at obtuse conclusions due to a superficial understanding of their subject matter (3). There are many examples of this in The Case Against Sugar, but the underlying theme is that Taubes misunderstands (or chooses not to apply) the scientific method itself."
Yep. Nodding in agreement there. Sadly so many have fallen for this misunderstanding and treat all sugar as the enemy.6 -
Wasn't it Alan Aragon who said that he wouldn't be reading this book because, to quote "I don't like reading fiction"?2

Yes if you're referring to Taubes
I just purchased Guyenet's book and I can't wait to read it. Every podcast he does is fascinating stuff.2 -

Guyenet has been a guest on several podcasts and his material is outstanding. I would just search for his last name and you should come up with several guest spots he's done. I think he was on Sigma Nutrition Radio recently and he was also interviewed by Mario Tomic on Youtube.0 -

Sigma is one of the only podcasts that I have listened to every episode of. The people that man has on are the best of the best.0 -

Some of the discussion on this can be found in the link above. There has been a few rebuttals.0 -
I didn't get as much from this book as from Good Calories Bad Calories. He went a bit too far here and there. At one point he says sugar is the main cause of obesity and IR and then a few pages later he stresses that everyone is different and there is no one size fits all situation - over consumption of sugar is just one factor.
There is some good information in there, but some not as good stuff too.0
