Wasn't it Alan Aragon who said that he wouldn't be reading this book because, to quote "I don't like reading fiction"?

Yes if you're referring to Taubes =)

I just purchased Guyenet's book and I can't wait to read it. Every podcast he does is fascinating stuff.

Guyenet has been a guest on several podcasts and his material is outstanding. I would just search for his last name and you should come up with several guest spots he's done. I think he was on Sigma Nutrition Radio recently and he was also interviewed by Mario Tomic on Youtube.

Sigma is one of the only podcasts that I have listened to every episode of. The people that man has on are the best of the best.

I didn't get as much from this book as from Good Calories Bad Calories. He went a bit too far here and there. At one point he says sugar is the main cause of obesity and IR and then a few pages later he stresses that everyone is different and there is no one size fits all situation - over consumption of sugar is just one factor.

There is some good information in there, but some not as good stuff too.
