Measuring for one, cooking for two

How do you measure portions when you're cooking for more than just yourself? I'm so used to weighing out my pasta precooked and bam there's my portion! But now I'm living with someone and adding his portion to boil too. So how do I get my portion back? Remeasure? I would assume there's a difference in cooked vs uncooked weight?
I feel like I want to make his food and then go back and make my food totally separately to make sure I'm accurate.
Am I just overthinking this way too much??

If you make exactly two portions then when it's done cooking, weigh everything and take half for yourself.2

Recipe builder! Measure/weigh both the ingredients and the entire thing, enter a number of servings based on the weight of the entire meal (I usually do 100g servings, so if the final weight is 500g, it's 5 servings) and then only weigh your own portion.
I keep a list of the weight of all of my pots and pans when they are empty so I just weigh the whole dish and subtract the weight of whatever pot I'm using.1 -
I use the cooked weight for things like pasta, rice, etc. that I'm portioning out. Most things have the cooked weight and the raw weight in the database. Or you can weigh the pan before cooking, cook the pasta, put the pan on the scale, subtract the weight of the pan and then take half the remainder.2

Are you eating equal servings or is he eating twice what you eat?
For my family of 3 I weigh the uncooked pasta for an equal amount for each person.
You could weigh the pasta after it is cooked for purposes of dividing. Weigh it all. Divide the weight by 2- or however many servings you made. Weigh out 1 serving on your plate.1 -
Recipe builder is a life saver! I usually make enough for leftovers, so basically weigh and measure things as you cook and put into recipe builder, at the end weigh the final product and I put however much it weighs as the number of servings, then you can just weigh out your portion!1

I don't worry about it. I just figure out the total and cut it in two. Reality is my husband gets the larger half, which means I'm overstating my calories by a small amount, but it's not enough to make a big difference. I exercise a lot more so our calorie needs are pretty close. I am in maintenance and don't feel the need to be as precise as many of the people on here.1
