Actual weight gain vs Water retention

This is probably a very silly question , but I am quite confused. So I banked about 2500 calories from last monday till last Friday. However , this weekend I ate wayy much more than usual.
Saturday: 2 slices of ricotta pie and a Cheesy crust pizza AND Chocolate cake
Sunday : Thick crust pizza , hot chocolate , hot dog , bar of chocolate and 1 packet of oreo biscuits.
I weighed in this morning , and while usually I am the same weight as before on Monday , this Monday I weighed 0.5KG more. Is this actual fat gain or water retention?
Thanks

Water, most likely. There's a buttload of sodium in almost everything you listed (especially the pizza and hot dog).2

Part of it is water. Most of it is "2 slices of ricotta pie and a Cheesy crust pizza AND Chocolate cake and Thick crust pizza , hot chocolate , hot dog , bar of chocolate and 1 packet of oreo biscuits" that is sitting in your stomach digesting. If you have a deficit for the period between weighins then don't worry, a "swoosh" is in your near future.0

Have more calories day 1 to 3 of your week less calories days 5-7 as water retention and food not passed through your system will show up on scales or only take notice of monthly weigh ins as real losses0

You will gain 1lb (454g) of fat for every 3500 calories you eat over maintenance.
My maintenance is about 1850 calories net. So if I eat 4000 calories on a day of debauchery, and do no exercise, that's 2150 calories over maintenance, so I will gain about two thirds of a pound of fat, or 280g.
Coincidentally, this is pretty much what I did on Saturday. This morning I weighed myself and I am two and a half pounds heavier (1135g). Because of my maths, I know that no more than 280g of that is fat. The rest is water due to extra salt and carbs.0 -

I am actually considering ditching the scale or weighing once a month , as then number on the scale determines my mood for that day1
