30 Day Shred Challenge

Day 7 down level 1. I couldn't do my walk like I usually do and the workout seemed a little harder then when I do the 5k walk. maybe my body is acting like the 5k is a warm up lol. Anyway I plan on doing level 1 again as I am a little heavier, so I think it might be best for me to do it again until I can complete all the exercises completly.
Down 9 pounds in 1.5 weeks. I didn't measure but I am sure I have lost a few inches.. Maybe I will measure tonight so I can compare when I finish..0 -
Finished 30 day shred today, YEAH. I am going to do Level 1, 2 and 3 once each this week then take final measurements this weekend. Hoping to post some good news for everyone. Think I'll start Ripped in 30 next, gotta stay on task.0

Good luck Travis. But don't get too comfortable in level one!
Bah - my own scales tell me I'm only 0.6lb down after a week .... A much smaller loss than the nutritionist recorded. Hope I've something better to report when I get measured on day ten.0 -
Woop day 8 done! I Remember when I started out being inspired by others who had made it this far, it feels like a small acheivment vment but make sure you are proud of yourselves for sticking with it!
Last time I tried to follow an exercise plan I was doing the couch to 5K 9 week plan and only made it to week 5 as my legs were swelling. I am finding this much less effort and am really determined to make it to the end.
Today went okay, few aches from yesterday after doing the whole routine with my heavier weights but I made sure I got up and did it.
I am trying on wedding dresses this Saturday so that has been my motivation this week, can't stand the thought of being in a changing room with a stranger in my under wear!
Keep going everyone, your all inspiring me x0 -
Ashley congratulations on getting married and good luck with wedding dress shopping. I have two years to go yet - gotta save for our wedding! Just done Day 5 Week 1 and she said it'd be easier - actually I really struggled with a couple of the squats today but walked 4 miles straight after the workout to burn off some more calories as I'm off out for lunch (will try and stick with salad but you know how things look tempting!). Bring on Day 6!0
-
Awesome!! How did you find your first workout????? I found it crazy hard but I never stopped moving so that I could keep my heart rate up...
Hahahaha... I have renamed it the 60 Day Shred. I am (have been) on Level 2 for a couple weeks.
Between everything going on (sons Wedding in Sept.) And plain lack of motivation, it has taken me
longer. BUT I did do Level 2D4 yesterday, plan to get L2D5 in today.
I hated the jumping jacks, still do. Was sore beyond imagination first couple days on L1, but it passed
fast because I allowed my body to recover. Level 2 is Plyometrics which I find both awful, yet rewarding.
I was told that I'm going to enjoy Level 3.......when I get there...lol.0 -
Finished level 1 day 7 yesterday. Went to the gym after and I could definitely see my tummy was flatter in the great big unforgiving mirrors. Not measuring until I get to the end though.0

I'm going to be starting it on September 1st. Since it will be easier to just my results from September 1-September 30. I'm also not going to weigh myself all month. Just right before I start and when I complete the challenge!
Anybody feel free to add me!
Great idea. You may or may not see a huge difference wieght wise, but the INCHES that
you'll lose will amaze you. I'm not through Level 2 yet, and even with my busy schedule
and lack of motivation at times, I have only lost 3-4 lbs....BUT I have trimmed off an
amaazing 12 inches combined off my bust (under bra) from 42DD to 40D....the remainder
from neck, waist, hips, and thighs......These are MY results so far.........everyone is different.
Best Wishes on YOUR journey0 -
I just started level 2 this morning, but what are you all the exercise as?0
-
I started this yesterday. I like the challenge. How do you record it in the exercise area? I can't find anything that says how many calories you burn. Thanks.0
-
Woop on my last day of level 2 today, looking forward to moving onto level 3. I was just comparing photos earlier and can definitely notice a bit of a difference.
Day 6 to Day 20 (Don't have pictures any earlier than day 6 unfortunately)
I know there are varying factors to consider i.e different room, clothes, position, picture quality, lighting etc. but generally I think you can tell there has been a little bit of change although not dramatic. Here's hoping for more changes in level 3!0 -
Just finished day 1 of 30ds and LOVED it!!! I had done the program a couple months ago and gained all kinds of strength but then took time off(because I'm stupid). Started my fitness routine again walking 6 miles in under an hour and 30ds, I'm sore all over but happy happy happy. One question for you folks though... what are inputting this exercise as in your log? I cant seem to find this program in the list0

Results of people posting before and afters look amazing. Starting this weekend. Plan on taking a before and after, not sure if i will post though. Wish this almost 50 y/o luck.0
-
Just have one more day to go, can't wait to be done. Although I'll probably still do level three a few times each week- probably without the sound.0

I missed yesterday but doubled up today and hitting the gym level 3 is kicking my butt0

Today is my last day of level 1. Starting level 2 tomorrow. Funnily i was never sore during the initial days, but i am sore today from yesterdays workout. Weird huh! My clothes are already fitting better I am also walking for around 40 minutes daily. Can't wait to finish all three levels.0
-
This is Day 2 of Level 1. It is much easier than I thought it would be.0

Completed level 1 Day 9 today with very little motivation. Got hit by a wave of nausea half way through so had to take a break but I carried on through to the end. Definitely ready to move on now. It does get a bit repetitive after so many days!
I will do my measurements on Sunday as tomorrow will be a rest day due to weekend plans. To be honest I am feeling more toned but am not expecting a weight loss or inch loss this time around.. Maybe even a weight gain!
I watched level 2 this morning in preparation for Monday and I am feeling ready for it. If anyone has ever done Level 1 of the 30 second slim (Josie Gibson) it contains a lot of those plank based moves, squat thrust, walking up downs etc as it's extremely plank based so having done that work out to death I am hoping it has prepared me somewhat for level 2!
Good luck to those who are moving up a level with me this weekend! X0 -
30 day shred done. Keep going everyone. I both love and hate Jillian right now, but if you can stick with this until the end you will be very proud of yourselves.0
-
With you Ashley! Just finished day 9. Found it unusually hard today but it is hot. Getting tedious though. Mentally I'm ready to move on but not sure how my body feels about that!
Just taken measurements so will check if there's a difference.
Keep up the good work everyone!0 -
I've lost a little on all measurements - either an inch or half an inch. Better than nothing I guess.0

Day ten done! Got a painful shoulder though so might have to start Level 2 on Monday instead of tomorrow though which is a bit annoying as haven't missed a day yet. Don't want to set myself back even further though.:grumble:0
-
I re measured and weighted haven't lost much in any way but have 6 more days left hopefully it will kick up a notch and this will be all worth it...trying insanity asylum on next Friday or Saturday I might want to take a day off. I want to finish this Strong and lighter.0
-
You are welcome Green, and you are so close, don't give up now. I took a few days off at each level too. Rest isn't a bad thing as long as you keep going. Can't wait to hear your final results.0
-
Started Level 2 yesterday. My muscles (arms and calves) are sore. But the workout was fun. And it seemed to go by much quicker than Level 1! Did anyone else feel the same?0

Thanks for this - might be the kick I needed. Finished Level One yesterday and was soooo unmotivated to do the last session. Can hardly face Level Two. Just because I'm lazy and have a sore shoulder. Not even because it was that hard! My two year old never sleeps and I feel like a zombie but I need to get right back into it I think. If I miss more than a day I might not start again.0 -
OMG! All these last few days I have felt discouraged not see the results I expected but this morning I put on a dress i haven't worn in about 2 months ( and it was tight then) is now pretty lose. It feels great! I love it I don't want to lose this excited feeling. :-D0
