My period was 6 days late and when I actually started my period, I gained 2 pounds straight away and my period lasted a week and I've lost them 2 pounds and I've just stayed the same weight when usually I lose 2 pounds a week and it seems like the scale isn't moving at all.

I had a baby 12 weeks ago and got around a stone to lose, I do the 4.3 diet and eat around 800 calories on fast days and normally on normal days.

I have around 100g of protein a day even on a fast day and do weights 4x a week and work my butt 2x a week and do a hour cardio a day a day.

Could I be gaining muscle?

And no, sorry, you're not gaining muscle. You might be developing muscle, but you're not gaining weight because of it.

You can't gain if you are in a calorie deficit. A 2 pound (or sometimes up to 5 pound) gain around your cycle is normal. Make sure you are weighing everything you eat and logging everything you consume. Drink plenty of water (TOM and DOMS can affect shifts in water retention which lead to temporary gains).

You just had a baby. Your hormones are still all over the place. That probably accounts for some odd variations in your cycle and in your weight loss. Relax and be patient.
