I know you have to watch your macros. I did an online calculator and it says my protein is 96 grams. Is that too high? I heard if you eat too much protein your body will turn it into insulin so I want to make sure I'm not eating too much!

It's nonsense. My cutting diet is 80-85% protein, and still puts me into a state of nutritional ketosis. That ends up being about 260g of protein. Keep carbs sub-20g if you want keto. Don't stress the other two macros as much, so long as you hit the protein minimum.
For the record, insulin is required for storage in muscle tissue and organs, as well as fat cells.2 -
If that's too high I'm in trouble lol. I am trying keto (20g carbs) and my protein is almost always around the same or higher than fats (I find it hard to get the fat in the diet) but I am losing at around 1.5lb a week. calorie deficit obviously also helps there.1
