I'm starting fresh after 2 years of nursing a serious back injury and torn rotator cuff (right shoulder). I'm doing 2 days of Physical Therapy per week....but have also decided to lose the weight I gained while mostly sedentary and healing for a long time. My goal is to strengthen and tone my whole body and eventually lose 35 pounds.
I've been doing about 90 minutes of Standing & Seated Elliptical Crosstrainers as well as light walking on the Treadmill (have to be careful with back). I'm doing this regimen 5 days per week minimum and have greatly adjusted my already-mostly organic diet.
It's hard to get motivated and lose the weight because I'm not allowed any weight-training or weighted machines due to my injuries. I'm already a bit frustrated because after nearly 2 weeks ....I haven't lost a single pound. I'm stuck with what I'm "allowed" to do and just working through the pain of my injuries.
I hope to obtain my weight, strength, and injury correction goals over time and any motivation, tips, or suggestions for my situation are helpful and welcome.
I'm looking for friends who are motivating and inspiring and hope to motivate others along the way with *what I hope* ends up being my success story to share. My goal is to get my life, my body, and even my trade back (I had to quit my trade of 13 years because of these injuries and need to get back for the sake of my family and self). It's a long road...I know. I hope to meet friends along the way.

I know your pain when it comes to the rotator cuff. Not a nice thing to have happen. If you need any advice reference weight training when you are allowed to do it, I can offer some advice as I had to to start weight training almost from scratch when I had my shoulder operated on.1
