Question regarding net calories

Hi everyone! I'm hoping you can help me. I am in the second week of my new lifestyle and am on a 1200 calorie program (as established by MFP). My exercise calories are usually within 500-600, which makes it a net amount well below the 1200. If I continue at this rate, will my body go into starvation mode? If so, any suggestions on how to prevent the starvation mode from kicking in? Thanks!

There's no such thing as starvation mode, it's a myth. However, you should be eating a MINIMUM of 1200 calories to maintain normal body function and make sure you're getting in enough protein/nutrients. I'd suggest track your calories, track your exercise, and try and eat back at least half of those exercise calories. You will not feel very well or last very long if you are netting 600 calories a day - I guarantee it.0
