Do you track exercise on app?

Do you enter in your exercises and eat based off of what they tell you you have left in calories and what they've added to your macro count or do you leave it off and only eat what is originally there. I'm wanting to maintain/maybe lose a pound or two and tone.

You need to ensure your settings are set up for what it is you're wanting to do. Maintaining won't be the same amount as losing a pound or two.

MFP is set up so that whatever your goal is, is based on your non-exercise activity level. If you're exercising then you should be logging it and eating at least a portion of those calories back, that is why the goal for the day adjusts when you log exercise.

If you have a regular exercise routine you can also use the TDEE method (calculators easily found on google, which already incorporates your exercise to calculate your calories, manually amend your goal and not log your exercise.

    It's up to you really.

It's best to just pick a system and go with it. Keep it the same for a few months (unless it results in drastic unwanted changes) and then re-assess. If it is working don't mess with it. If it's not working adjust accordingly.

I have my app set at sedentary. I do not log strength training. I do log cardio. I try not to eat back more than half the calories from cardio. This works for me. Your mileage may vary.

I use Map My Fitness and it syncs automatically with MFP.
