Different scales.

So according to the scales at the hospital I weigh 8kg less than I do on the scales at home. How is this possible??

    Because all scales are different.

    I know but a difference of 8kg is a lot

    Your scale at home might not be calibrated correctly; It might need leveling; it might need batteries; you weighed at different times of day; weighed after eating; different day altogether; different clothes and shoes...

    Ok... and were you naked and was it first thing in the morning on the hospital scales, like (presumably) when you weigh yourself at home?

    Same time as home and fully clothed. Just gonna get myself some digital scales
