Want to lose 80 more pounds -- and maybe for once keep it off

Have been trying to make positive changes in weight and general health. October 2, 2016 I weighed 274. Now I'm at 230, but there is still so far to go. I'm just trying to stay positive.

Monday I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. I'm not sure if he is right for me, but if not, I'll try someone else. I've lost weight before, and I want to do it again. But I want to lose and then KEEP IT OFF!! What good is losing it if I just gain it back. One of the difficulties is that I have very severe asthma and sometimes end up on high doses of prednisone for weeks or even months at at time. It seems like every time I have to take steroids, it sets me back. Partly from the steroids, and partly from the enforced inactivity. I mean, it's hard to exercise if I can't walk from one room to the other.

I hope there are some people out there with similar goals and that we can be friends. Good luck all.
